Vehicle
Push-toy cars, vans, jeeps and buses at any scale, with rolling wheels on rod axles. Any vehicle tows any trailer.
laserpuzzle turns 3D models and a few parameters into flat parts for your laser cutter, ready to cut and assemble: toy cars, diggers and loaders that move, stacked sculptures, sliceforms. Kerf, clearances and a 3D collision check are built in.
Choose a generator, upload an STL or start from a sample, set your material thickness. The 3D preview updates as you type.
SVG and DXF sheets with cut and engrave lines in separate colours and layers, kerf already applied. Works with any laser software.
Tabs, slots and press-fit holes are sized for your machine, and every part is labelled. Assembly notes and a parts list come with it.
The 3D preview is the finished model, built from the exact parts you will cut. Turn it, look through it, and put every moving joint through its paces.
A slider for every joint (steering, lift, tilt); linked parts follow, as on the real thing. Play sweeps each joint through its whole range.
Ghosts of the moving parts across a joint's range show at a glance how far it goes and what it passes.
Parts are checked for overlaps across every joint's range, not only at rest. If something clashes, one click shows the pose where it happens.
Click a face, edge or corner of the cube to look from there. Switch to orthographic for true side, front and top views.
See through the plywood: pins, axles and hidden joints show up inside the model.
Pull the assembly apart to see how it goes together, and click any part to see which one it is.
Each generator is a small program that designs a whole family of objects. More are on the way.
Push-toy cars, vans, jeeps and buses at any scale, with rolling wheels on rod axles. Any vehicle tows any trailer.
Slice any STL into layers that stack into a solid shape, aligned by a spine or a dowel.
A slot comb and a strip of rod holes. Cut it once per material to find the clearance your laser needs, before cutting a whole project.
Pro
Two sets of interlocking cross-sections that slot together into a lightweight lattice of your model.
Pro
A tracked digger with a turning house and a boom, stick and bucket on pins, checked for collisions through its whole range of motion.
Pro
An articulated loader that steers by bending in the middle, with lift arms and a lever linkage that tips the bucket. Rolls on laminated wheels.
Pro
A tipper with a rock body that tips back on a hinge, a cab over the front wheels and a hitch for the Vehicle trailers.
Pro
A crane that really lifts: turn the crank to wind the hook up, a ratchet holds it. The turret turns all the way round and the boom locks at four angles.
Pro
Ask for a ratio and get the gears: a solver picks the tooth counts, checks they mesh cleanly and lays them out in a frame with a crank and a dial.
Pro
Turn the crank and the figures on the box come alive: a bird pecks, a fish bobs, a digger arm nods. Cams and followers are worked out for you and checked through a full turn.
Pro
A tower of tilted trays a steel ball rolls down, dropping from one onto the next. The slope, the drops and where each ball lands are simulated, so it runs when you cut it.
Pro
Upload the thing you want to store and get a box with a snug cavity in its own foam-style insert: layers cut from the model's outline, thumb notches, and a lid that locates itself.
Everything runs in your browser. Models are never uploaded; there is no server that sees them.
Open the page and go. After the first visit it starts from your browser's cache, and it runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.
Nominal outlines, kerf compensation at export, clearance on every joint, and a 3D check that no two parts overlap, at rest and while they move.
Millimetre-accurate SVG and DXF, cut in red, engrave in blue (your choice of colours), nested onto sheets of your size.

No. The whole engine (Python, compiled to WebAssembly) runs in your browser tab. Files you choose are read locally and never sent to us. We only keep anonymous, cookie-free visit statistics.
It downloads its engine (about 22 MB) once; your browser caches it. On a decent connection this page starts that download in the background while you read.
Any laser cutter whose software reads SVG or DXF. Set your material thickness and kerf, and cut the fit test first to find the right clearance for your machine and material.
